The Philosophy:
I believe that makeup doesn't have to be complicated to be beautiful. Most women wear too much makeup and you don't really get to see who they are as a person. Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, I thought of my mother as the most beautiful woman because you could always see her natural beauty. She was very intimidated by makeup and consequently rarely wore it. I feel that if the makeup process were less intimidating and easier to follow then women would do it more often.
I believe in taking the insecurity out of makeup and showing women how to make their best features shine. I do this without emphasizing specific cosmetic products or brands. For me, the experience is about creating a simple approach to help women look and feel beautiful on a daily basis.

3 Part Harmony:
I believe every face has Diana Ross and the Supremes on it. I see the eyes as Diana Ross, and the lips and cheeks as the Supremes. Like Diana, sometimes eyes can stand alone, and need little help from the cheeks and lips to look in harmony. Other times, Diana needs her Supremes — on occasion they're the strongest part of a song. But, no matter what, the Supremes always make Diana look fabulous. In the case of makeup, the cheeks and lips should always work to make the eyes the main attraction and never steal the show.
